JH Eagles finish soccer season with a WIN

The Junior High soccer team ended their season with an exciting game against the French School. After being down 2 to 0 on the first half the Eagles rallied back to tie the game at 4 to 4 on the second half. On the last play of the game Lucca defended a shot from the French School, then passed the ball to Goro who passed to Saturnino who dribbled forward and shot a rocket in to the corner and scored the winning goal for the Eagles! It was an AMAZING finish!

Great job to Goro (scored two goals), Rafael, Salvador (scored one goal), Makuembo, Saturnino (scored two goals), Lucca, Farhan and Linus. Way to go Eagles!

Two good games against Mackenzie

The JH and HS team had great games against Mackenzie on Friday. The players who represented the JH team were Farhan**, Salvador*, Makembo* , Goro, Linus (goalie), Lucca, and Omair.

On the HS team we had Wilko*, Roen*, Andrew*, Adnan, Letsie, Ben and Kwame. Players with * next to their name were the ones that scored goals for the Eagles. The HS game was particularly exciting because our starting goalie (Gustavo) was not able to come, so Andrew, Adnan and Letsie took turns being goalie and they actually did a pretty good job!

- special thanks for the girls (on the background of the picture) that came to watch and support our team. THANKS! Go Eagles!

HS team finishes tournament in third place

The High School Soccer Team finished in third place in the soccer tournament this weekend. These guys played very hard against high level teams and did a great job representing BIS and playing together as a team. Coach Batista is proud to have these committed student-athletes on his team. The students who played on this tournament were Adnan*, Wilko*, Andrew*, Roen, Letsie, Kwame*, Frizald, and Gustavo (players with * are the ones who scored goals in the tournament). Some of the highlights were Gustavo with numerous AWESOME saves, and Wilko with an AMAZING goal against EAB (Frizald did a long diagnol pass and Wilko with one touch shot a rocket over the goalies head to score the most impressive goal of the season so far for the Eagles). Great job team! Our next game will be against the French School. Go Eagles!
