Three great soccer games...

Last Saturday the HS team played two games against the Escola Francesa on a society field, 8 v 8. These were a great games, Letsie, Adnan and Huat Thart scored the goals for the Eagles. Highlights were Huat Thart crossing for Adnan to head it into the goal, and Letsie's pass over the goalie for Huat Thart to run into the goal with the ball. Those were awesome goals!!!

  Yesterday (04/10/13) we played against Atlético Paranaense at UnB under some heavy rain. We had a great time playing on the big official size field. Letsie, Adnan and Kwame scored the goals for us. In the final score we lost 8 to 4.

Soccer weather update

At this point we are still on for the soccer game. Hope to see you guys there. Coach Batista. It is 1:34pm now.

Nations Cup soccer tournament

Great job to both soccer teams! 6 good games on Saturday. Very tough competition. 3 injuries... Thankfully Gustavo did not need stitches , but Adnan did have to go to the hospital , but he turned out ok. Thank you Lord for watching over our team. We still have one more game today. It's been great fun to coach and watch the guys play. Go Eagles!

Please remember to bring a photo id with date of birth to the tournament. Every player needs an id to check in to the tournament. Also remember to bring you shin guards. You must have this safety equipment in order to play in the tournament.

 

The elementary team will play on Saturday

12:00pm  BIS vs Boca Juniors

 

There are six teams in the sub 12 category (BIS, Nations, Cougars, Boca Juniors, Fluminense, Ajax), divided into two groups. We are in group A, and we'll play two games on Saturday. If we qualify we'll play again on Sunday.

 

The JH/HS team will play on Saturday

BIS vs Colégio Batista

 BIS Eagles vs Colégio Batista

 

The Eagles had a GREAT game against Colégio Batista. Until the last minute the game was tied 4 to 4, but on the final seconds Colégio Batista managed to score two quick goals. This was a very exciting game! Frizald scored 4 goals!! Overall the team played great and the goalies (Gustavo and David) were premium!

The Junior Varsity team also had a good game. BIS scored the first goal and was ahead for most of the first half. At half-time the score was 1 -1, but on the second half Colégio Batista managed to scored more goals to win the game. The final score was 5 -2. Goro scored the two goals for the Eagles  : )

HS and MS kick off the 2013 season

The HS and MS soccer teams kicked off the season with a tough game against the Teachers and Parents.

Ms. Lancaster and Mr. Knutson lead the teachers and parents to beat the students 6 to 4.

 

Mr. Owsley and Mr. Manning were the key players for the Parent's team, while Allan, Andrew and Kwame scored the goals for the BIS Eagles.

Soccer (HS & MS)

For the 2012-2013 school year we will have our soccer season during the months of February and March. Below is a summary of our season last year. For more details on the 2011-2012 season see coach Batista's blog. 

  Our High School and Jr. High School had an outstanding soccer season this year. During the first semester we played several futsal (soccer on concrete court) games and on the second semester we played regular soccer on the grass. Both the futsal and soccer teams did very well considering the high level competition they encountered.  This team played with a lot of heart and did a great job representing our school this year. Well done guys!
